Sinopsis Dr. Seuss' The Lorax

Semua yang ada di Thneed-Ville memang artifisial. Bukan hanya rumah dan jalan, bahkan sampai pohon pun tak ada yang benar-benar asli. Kota ini dibatasi tembok tinggi dan tak seorang pun penghuninya boleh melewati tembok ini. Semuanya sudah tersedia dan tak ada gunanya keluar dari batas kota. Semua orang patuh, kecuali Ted (Zac Efron). Ted harus melewati batas kota untuk mencari apa yang jadi impian Audrey (Taylor Swift).

Audrey ingin melihat pohon yang sesungguhnya, bukan sekedar replika buatan manusia. Kalau itu yang diinginkan Audrey, Ted akan mencarinya. Apa pun akan ia lakukan untuk mendapatkan perhatian gadis yang jadi pujaan hatinya ini. Tentu saja ini bukan perkara gampang tapi tekad Ted sudah bulat. Ia harus mencari tahu apa yang sebenarnya terjadi pada pohon-pohon yang dulu tumbuh bebas di muka bumi.

Perjalanan panjang mempertemukan Ted dengan Once-ler (Ed Helms). Once-ler memang bukan pribadi yang ramah. Ia sengaja mengasingkan diri dari keramaian. Dari Once-ler pula Ted mengenal nama The Lorax (Danny DeVito) yang konon bertekad melindungi alam ini dari kerusakan. Sayang usaha The Lorax gagal. Semua pohon kini sudah musnah. Satu-satunya harapan yang tersisa adalah bila Ted berhasil menemukan benih pohon dan ini bukan sesuatu yang gampang.

Everything in Thneed-Ville is artificial. Not only houses and roads, even until the tree was nothing truly original. The city is constrained by high walls and no one should pass through the walls of these residents. Everything is available and no good came out of the city limits. All the people obeyed, except for Ted (Zac Efron). Ted had to pass the city limits to find what is so dreams Audrey (Taylor Swift).

Audrey wanted to see the real tree, not just man-made replica. If it is desired Audrey, Ted will look for it. Whatever will he do to get the attention of the girl who became her idol is. Of course this is not an easy matter, but Ted's determination was made. He must find out what really happened to the trees that once grew freely in the face of the earth.

The long journey to bring the Once-ler Ted (Ed Helms). Once-ler was not a friendly person. He deliberately alienate themselves from the crowd. Once-ler from Ted also knows the name of The Lorax (Danny DeVito) who supposedly committed to protecting nature of the damage. The Lorax Unfortunately attempt failed. All the trees are now destroyed. The only hope left is when Ted managed to find the seed and the tree is not something easy.
